Seriously?!?

Tonight at bedtime Brynna was discussing all of the jobs of our family.
"Daddy's job is, well daddy has three jobs. He does the trash, goes to work and unclogs the pottys."
"Mommy's job is...(pause)...what's your job mommy?"

ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!

When I grow up...

Last night at dinner, Jeremy asked the girls what they wanted to be when they grow up. Brynna said a mommy. Addy said a girl transformer. She would transform into a mommy and a unicorn. Gotta love that kid!

I've always wanted to adopt....

Addy loves to look at "kid magazines" and circle toys that she "wished for." Today while looking at one, she pointed to something and asked me what it was. I told her it was an Adopt a Bobble Head...to which she replied, "Ohhh, I've always wanted to adopt a bobble head."

Not really funny...just weird

Today for lunch Addy asked for a cheese and honey sandwich. I didn't want to make it for her, because I knew she wouldn't like it and I didn't want to be wasteful. Jeremy told me to make it and let her see for herself how her combination tasted. Well, she proved me wrong. Not only did she eat it she asked for another one! So here's to honey and cheese sandwiches!

Check your Hearing

Me - "It's very possible."
Brynna - "What? A berry popsicle."

Say What??!!

Addy - "Calley looks like Uncle Buddy."
Me - "Why do you say that?"
Addy - "Because she has on jeans and a shirt, so she looks like Uncle Buddy."

Let it be known that Calley was wearing a white shirt with pink polka dots and pink pants!

Heaven Bound

Brynna and Addy have both been asking a lot of questions about dying and heaven. I try to be truthful, but I don't want to scare them or worry them. The other day Brynna started talking about dying again. One of her questions was about how you get to heaven (physically). I said God takes you. She then said it's like you are asleep but not breathing or hearing and then God just carries you up to heaven and then you wake up. Not wanting to continue the conversation I told her it's something like that (I know, not the most theologically sound conversation). To that she replied well that's not so bad.

Real Mommy vs. Pretend Mommy

The girls were playing house together upstairs. I was downstairs listening to this conversation:
Brynna - "Do you want me to ask my mommy?"
Addy - "Ok"
Brynna - "Ask our real mommy not our pretend mommy. You know our Kristy mommy."

I have heard variations of this conversations other times, but this one was my favorite.

Broken Lettuce

Last night when Jeremy was making Addy a sandwich, she told him she didn't want any broken lettuce on it. We had a bag of the shredded lettuce you can use on tacos, etc. She didn't want that lettuce, she wanted one big piece of lettuce. So no broken lettuce for that girl!

Time Out

Brynna - "Mommy, Addy hit me two times."
Addy - "I'm in time out."

No Bunny Funny

Conversation between Brynna and I about the cartoon "Max and Ruby." (If you don't know, they are bunnies who are brother and sister and their parents are never on the show.)

B - "Ruby isn't a very nice mommy to Max."
Me - "Ruby is actually Max's sister. Sometimes she isn't a very nice sister to Max is she. If you were Ruby's mommy what would you tell her about how she treats Max."
B - "I don't know."
Me - "Why not? It's not that hard. If you were her mommy, what would you tell her? How should Ruby act?"
B - "I don't want to say."
Me - "Why?"
B - "Because then that makes me a bunny, and I don't want to be a bunny."

First Funny

Overheard between Addy and Patches after he meowed at her:

"If you don't want to be bothered, don't be by me!"

Trying Something New

I'm going to try to use this blog as a way to let family know about some of the funny things that happen in our home on a daily basis. Funny stories, sayings, etc. by the Fudge family...mainly the littlest Fudges. I hope I do a good job staying on top of this. Fingers crossed!
