A Bowling Ball at a Picnic?

At school Addy was supposed to make a list of things she would take on a picnic. One of the items she put was a bowling ball. When I asked her about her reasoning, she gave me a very good answer. The teacher said not to copy. She wanted to bring a soccer ball, but somebody else was bringing one. She said she really wanted to bring a ball on her picnic so she decided to bring a bowling ball! Makes sense to me.

Huh?

I'm at the store with Brynna and have said a few things to her which she does not hear. I then say, "I think we need to get your hearing checked." To which she replies, "What's caring?" Exactly!

Forecast: TROUBLE!!!

One of our friends told Addy that if a boy chases you it means he likes you. So Addy told me she wanted to invite her friends, Hunter and Ben, over so they can chase her. Oh boy!

There was an old lady...

Brynna and I were talking the other night and she said, "Mom, you would die if you swallowed a horse." I said, "I don't think anyone could swallow a horse." And right on cue she said, "There was an old lady...!"

Tomorrow

Tonight when we were driving home from eating dinner, I asked Addy a question about her dinner. She didn't say anything, so I said her name. She then said, "Mommy I'm asleep. I'll tell you tomorrow."

What I want to be when I grow up

Today Jeremy was talking to Addy about being a mommy when she gets older. She emphatically told him that she was not going to be a mommy or a daddy. She was going to be Belle with a flying unicorn and rainbow hair.

You are my sunshine

Today Addy found a tiny, dried, hot glue ball. She told me she found a little drop of magic sunshine. We sang a song about it, lost (and found) it in the carpet a few times, and both enjoyed the little drop of magic sunshine. I thought I would share this, so you too could enjoy a little drop of magic sunshine.

You say grass skirt, I say...

When we were at the doctor for Brynna's six year check-up there was an old Disney video playing. It showed Goofy dancing in a grass skirt. Brynna looked at him and said, "Look, he's wearing a hay tutu!"

Sleepy Feet

The other day, Addy took off her shoes at the end of the day and said these shoes keep making me have sleepy feet. After further examination and a trip to the shoe store to confirm, I discovered her shoes were a size too small. I would have sleepy feet too!

Special

Brynna, Addy and I were looking at some magazines together. A lot of the items had personalization. Brynna wanted to see something with her name on it. I told her she probably would not find something. She kept looking and said, "Oh, I wish I could find something with my name." I told her that made her more special. Addy chimed in and said, "You're more special if you have a beautiful car."
Who knows what goes on in her head 90% of the time. Glad we are teaching her good values!
